Located at 8486 Seminole Blvd, Seminole Florida, we are centrally located to service all of Pinellas County’s Grooming needs, including: Seminole, Clearwater, Largo, St.Petersburg, Pinellas Park, Gulfport, St.Pete Beach, Treasure Island, Madeira Beach, Redington Beach, Indian Shores & Clearwater Beach.
A Loving & Stress-Free Grooming Salon:
Our grooming salon is designed with your dog’s comfort in mind. We use state of the art hydraulic lifting tables and bath tubs so that older and/or big dogs can step right up without needing to be lifted. Our groomers also have multiple ways to dry your pup after their bath dependent on their comfort level. We have room temperature air driers if they don’t mind the noise. If your pup prefers quiet we will towel dry them and let them air dry in our 5000 sq. ft. play yard (all turf, no dirt or mud). Our groomers also love to play classical music meant to calm their furry customers during their spa day!

Barks & Recreation is a company founded on the love of animals. We have designed our grooming salon to provide the best care for your dogs.
- Our passion for animals goes beyond the work place and into volunteer efforts. We are a family of pet lovers that want to give back to charities and support local shelters through fund raising and awareness. Consequently our main charity is Pet Pal Animal Shelter and we send the mobile grooming van to groom dogs waiting for adoption.
- We don’t rush! Our appointments are scheduled far enough apart to give your dog a stress free experience. Therefore giving our groomers ample time to complete each groom. Grooming & nail trimming phobias come when groomers rush and don’t allow the dog time to get used to new experiences. Your fur baby’s comfort is one of our top priorities!
- We use state of the art equipment! From hydraulic lifting tables to room temperature air driers (no kennel driers). We provide the utmost care and comfort to your best friend while sparing no-expense!
- We have also spent extensive time in training all of our staff members in K9 CPR/First Aid and Basic Dog Handling Skills, taught by our Pet Tech Certified, Instructor Jon Anderson. Our loving and well trained groomers will make sure your fur baby is safe and comfortable at all times!

Krissy: Mobile Grooming Extraordinaire
Barks & Recreation officially opened in January of 2018. However, we began offering Mobile Grooming before our brick & mortar location opened! Krissy has been here since the beginning (November 2017), servicing our mobile grooming clients. As our longest tenured employee we thought sitting down with her for our very first staff bio interview was appropriate! We will introduce you to each of our employee’s overtime and let you into our world. Because we want you to learn about who is taking care of your fur babies on a daily basis!
